Day 6 of My 75 Soft Challenge: Learning to Show Up Anyway

Day 6 of my 75 Soft Challenge felt a lot like a lesson in consistency. Not the glamorous kind you see on social media — but the real kind. The kind where you show up even when you’re tired, bloated, or just not feeling your best.

This week has been a little rough thanks to my period. My body has felt heavier, my energy has been lower, and the scale hasn’t exactly been my biggest cheerleader. Normally that would be the perfect excuse to slow down or skip a day, but this challenge is teaching me something important: progress isn’t about perfection.

It’s about showing up.

Today I stuck to my routine the best I could. I got my walking in, focused on my meals, and tried to give my body what it needed instead of being frustrated with it. Some days during a wellness journey feel powerful and motivating. Other days feel slow and uncomfortable. Today was somewhere in the middle — and honestly, that’s okay.

One thing I’m realizing during this challenge is that our bodies go through cycles, especially as women. Some days we feel unstoppable, and other days our bodies are simply asking for patience. Instead of fighting that, I’m learning to work with it.

Even though the scale might not show it yet, I know I’m building something stronger than just weight loss. I’m building habits, discipline, and a healthier relationship with my body.

Six days down may not seem like a lot compared to 75, but it’s still six days of commitment. Six days of choosing myself. Six days of proving that I can keep going — even when it’s hard.

And tomorrow, I’ll show up again.

Day 6 takeaway: Progress is sometimes quiet. It looks like small choices, patience with your body, and the decision to keep going.
