Day 31 didn’t go quite how I imagined—but if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that progress isn’t about perfect days. It’s about showing up, even when things don’t go your way.
I started my period yesterday, which meant no swimming today. I already knew that was coming, but it still threw off my usual routine. On top of that, my rebounder trampoline still hasn’t arrived (and I’ve been so excited about it), so I don’t yet have my new backup workout in place. Definitely a little frustrating when you’re trying to stay consistent.
This morning, I had a plan. I was actually looking forward to switching things up and walking around the block instead of heading to the gym. But of course… the weather had other ideas. Rain. 😑 So instead of a peaceful outdoor walk, I had to pivot and head to the gym.
Not ideal—but I got it done.
Thankfully, the day redeemed itself a bit. By the time my 4 PM walk rolled around, the rain had cleared up, and I finally got my chance to be outside. I ended up walking around the block twice, which turned into a full 60-minute walk. Honestly, it felt really good to get that fresh air and move at my own pace.
Today was a perfect example of real life during a fitness journey—things don’t always line up. Your body changes, the weather shifts, equipment gets delayed… but none of that means you stop.
You adjust. You adapt. You keep going.
Even without swimming, without my trampoline, and with a rainy start, I still showed up for myself today. And that’s what counts.
Here’s to pushing through the unpredictable days and trusting the process—one step at a time.
