Day 28 feels like a turning point—not just physically, but mentally too. I’m starting to notice a shift in how I approach this journey. It’s less about “getting through the day” and more about building a lifestyle that actually works for me.
Today also brought a little excitement—my new fitness gear arrived! I ordered a mini stepper and a 15 lb kettlebell yesterday, and they showed up at my door this morning. There’s something really motivating about adding new tools into the routine. It makes everything feel fresh again.
The plan is pretty simple and honestly, very realistic for where I’m at right now. On days when I don’t swim—or when I can’t swim during my period—I’ll be using the mini stepper as my additional workout. I haven’t started my cycle yet this month, but I know it’s coming, and instead of letting that throw me off track like it might have in the past, I’m preparing ahead of time. That alone feels like growth.
The mini stepper feels like a perfect solution. It’s low-impact, convenient, and something I can do consistently without overthinking it. No excuses, no barriers—just movement.
As for the 15 lb kettlebell… I’ll be honest, I’m stepping a little outside my comfort zone with this one. I don’t really know how to use it yet, but I’m actually excited to learn. The gym here is pretty small and doesn’t have kettlebells anyway, and even if it did, I don’t think I’d feel comfortable trying new movements in that space. So this is something I can take at my own pace, in my own environment.
This journey has been teaching me that it’s okay to not have everything figured out right away. Trying something new—even if I feel a little unsure—is still progress.
Physically, I’m continuing to show up. Mentally, I’m becoming more flexible and more prepared. And emotionally, I’m starting to trust myself more.
Day 28 is about preparation, growth, and stepping into the next level—even if I’m learning as I go.
